The final results of the 3D printed case mods I’ve been working on to go with a PC build I’ve also been working on.

I created these using stereo lithographs, printed in grayscale negative to acheive the picture in the centre. The rest was pretty basic box making in Fusion 360 then a bit of soldering (read: burning fingers) to get the internal LEDs wired up.

I’m really happy with the results, it all came out as I saw it in my head (that’s a first) and the computer system itself is a beast of a machine with an 4th Gen i7 and a GTX 1080, its both quiet and powerful!

The detail in what is essentially a 3D printed photograph really shows thorugh in these photos but even still, the effect is much more pronouced IRL

The basis of what I called the case “trophy” to tell everyone just exactly what you’ve got your system loaded with!

Some of the post burning of fingers photos – the contact on the led strips are small and I had a very tight space to run wiring
